Baby Dedication

In the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada tradition, a baby dedication is a meaningful and voluntary commitment made by parents to raise their child according to God’s Word. During this special moment, parents publicly dedicate their child to God, acknowledging Him as the giver of life and seeking His guidance in raising their child in a Christ-centered home.

Baby dedication is not baptism or a sacrament. Instead, it is a promise by parents to model their faith, teach the Bible, and pray for their child as they grow. As part of this commitment, the church community also supports and encourages the family.

This dedication marks an important spiritual milestone, laying a foundation for the child’s future, with the hope that one day they will personally choose to follow Jesus.
